About the Event

In an Era of exponential change and uncertainty, there is an urgent need for the world to find a more sustainable development path. Business has an important role to play : connecting Leadership with Impact by unlocking innovation as a force for good. 

This will require NextGen business leadership who can deliver against the triple bottom line of people, planet and profit. 

Organisations need to develop a new generation of leaders with impact to define the emerging future and navigate this new reality. 

Impact 17+1 club is pleased to welcome our keynote speaker Aysar Tayeb, Executive Managing Director of Prosperity7 Ventures, An Aramco Venture. A Venture Capital Fund ($1B) of Aramco Ventures, a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, the world’s leading integrated energy and chemicals company.

Following the keynote address, As part of the iTalk Special Edition - Impact 17+1 club is humbled to host Impact Leaders from the Igniting Innovation for Impact Programme, a joint programme co-designed and delivered by Moller Institute, Churchill College in the University of Cambridge and CKGSB. Leaders on the programme come from diverse backgrounds and share a common goal towards Impact Leadership in the Era of Global Disruptions.

Impact Leaders from the Igniting Innovation for Impact programme will share 60 seconds of their impact stories during the ‘iTalk 60seconds’ session on:

SPEAKER PROFILES

Keynote Speaker : Aysar Tayeb, Executive Managing Director of Prosperity7 Ventures, An Aramco Venture

Aysar is the executive managing director for Prosperity7, the financial Venture Capital program of Aramco Ventures, with the goal of diversified growth. He has 25 years of experience between corporate and government positions. He played a leading role in the establishment of the Saudi Center of International Strategic Partnerships under the Royal Court, a government initiative to elevate select bilateral relationships to strategic partnerships along all pillars of political, economic, security, and social and cultural. Prior to that, he setup the International Relations organization under the Ministry of Health, and was instrumental in establishing the OGCI, a climate intuitive between Aramco and global leading oil and gas companies. In Aramco, Aysar established and headed Competitive Intelligence, as well as Corporate Support and Industry Insight functions. He was the Director of the office of the President and CEO; and headed the non-oil and gas portfolio of New Business Development leading to some key Aramco JVs. Aysar is a former adviser on international policies and regulations for the Ministry of Energy, and lead negotiator for Saudi Arabia. He participated in and led many multilateral expert and political negotiations related to energy, environment and sustainable development under the United Nations. Throughout 2012, he Chaired the UN Climate Change negotiations, leading 192 country parties to consensus. Prior to that he held various engineering, planning and project management roles.  Aysar holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering; MBA (Hons), Univ. of Hull; various executive development programs.

Bo JI is currently the Assistant Dean of Global Executive Education & Chief Representative for Europe at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB). Bo had an over-20-year successful business career in Global Business Development, Innovation, Strategy, Supply Chain Management, M&A, etc. He served as the senior executive at the headquarters of many Fortune 500 companies such as Monsanto, Cargill, Pfizer, Wrigley and Mars. After a long corporate life, Bo became a serial entrepreneur and investor, he is also an inspiring TEDx speaker, a China expert and an advocate of EU-China trade. Combining his extensive business experiences and in-depth knowledge, Bo serves as a mentor & advisor to startups and scaleups at incubators, accelerators and co-working spaces around the world. Meanwhile, he is a well sought inspiring speaker at renowned international conferences, forums, TV media and annual corporate meetings.
