About the Event

About the event

One of the greatest “impact thinkers” of all time, Buckminster Fuller, coined a goal for 100% of humanity to work together to survive and thrive, reimagining ways of approaching business to sustain us all. Today, sustainable businesses are now redefining the corporate ecosystem by designing models with economically-sound processes that create value for all stakeholders, including employees, shareholders, supply chains, civil society and planet.

As global indices on the world’s most sustainable corporations show, sustainability is good business for people and planet as well as for prosperity, performance and lifespan. Of course, the complexities of social change and environmental conservation continue to evolve and with it, companies must evolve too, in order to sustain the world in which they – and we – live.

Impact 17 + 1 Club is humbled to welcome our keynote speaker Mr Hakan Bulgurlu, CEO of Arcelik – ranked #13 on The Real Leaders®️ Top 150 Impact Companies of 2021.

Theme: Transformational Impact

Keynote Topic: Adopting Sustainability as a Business Model

Under his leadership, Hakan Bulgurlu has helped grow Arcelik into an inclusive, sustainable, and responsible business. His vision turned Arçelik into an Industry Leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index and saw the company included in the FTSE4Good Index for five consecutive years. Arçelik has succeeded in becoming carbon-neutral in global production with its own carbon credits, achieving a major move and an industry first and was awarded the most sustainable home appliances and houseware company in the world (Source: The 2021 Global 100 Index).

Following the keynote address, 10 speakers are invited to share 60 seconds of their impact stories during the ‘iTalk 60seconds’ session on “What does impact mean to you?”

If you would like to speak during the iTalk 60 seconds session and share your impact vision, stories and actions, you can choose to register under the category ‘iTalk 60s Speaker’.

Following the iTalk 60seconds session, all participants are invited to the Impact Café; where the audience becomes the stage as part of an integrated, immersive ‘impact zone’ shining the spotlight on how impactors are unlocking transformational impact with an adaptive mindset.
