About the Event

Hope is all around us. While there is much to despair with increasing climate and sustainability challenges

ahead, the seed of possibility and plausibility for taking positive action continues to bear fruit.

To tackle society’s most important challenges, capture the greatest opportunities to grow sustainably and

drive positive societal impact, a collaborative effort is required from public and private businesses,

governments and society to engage quickly and set strategic direction within a connected impact ecosystem

adapting and embracing transformational change to benefit all stakeholders.

As a pioneer in strategy and large-scale transformation since 1963, sustainability has always been at the

heart of Boston Consulting Group’s (BCG) work with leaders in business and society and today, they remain

at the forefront of the sustainability agenda building a shared roadmap to kickstart a decade of delivery to

scale collective impact.

Following their leading role at COP26, Impact 17 + 1 Club are honored to welcome BCG to iTalk XVII and

pleased to invite all impactors from across the world to tune in for their keynote and discussions to follow:

Keynote Theme: Jumpstarting Net-Zero Transmission

Keynote Topic: Scaling Collective Impact through Behavior Change and Technology Adoption

o Overview of the climate challenge and outcomes of COP26

o Decarbonising hard-to-abate sectors: a consumer’s perspective

o BCGs work within climate and sustainability

Keynote Speaker: Simon Birkebaek, Partner, Boston Consulting Group

Following the keynote address, 10 speakers are invited to share 60-seconds of their impact stories during the

‘iTalk 60seconds’ session on “What does impact mean to you?”

If you would like to speak during the iTalk 60-seconds session and share your impact vision, stories and actions,

you can choose to register under the category ‘iTalk 60s Speaker’.

Following this, all participants are invited to the Impact Café; where the audience becomes the stage as part of

an integrated, immersive ‘impact zone’ designed to foster ideation and connectivity within the SDG economy.

Co-Host: Metin Guvener, Founding Chairman, The Salon; Co-Founder, Impact 17+1 Club

Metin has evolved throughout his career creating and adding value in accordance with his selfreflective,

philosophical, entrepreneurial and philanthropic values. He believes reflection brings

realisation, which in turn creates transformation and a powerful resonance within ourselves and our

interaction with others. That is, if we have the right tools available to us in our toolbox.

Metin has had an illustrious career integrating value as a founder, co-founder and investor through

boutique platforms in financial services, real estate, private equity, hospitality, asset management

and thought leadership.

Passionately connecting visions and enabling missions, Metin brings people together to innovate

and appreciate heritage and succession.

As becomes evident in time, increased awareness positively correlates to our appreciation of how

little it is we “know for certain”. As such, collaboration is necessary to pool our collective

perspectives and resources. The Salon is founded on our mutual ability for empowerment based on

increasing awareness and broadening horizons through innovative and authentic collaboration.

Carrying this spirit with him, Metin continues to participate as a panel speaker on:
